Badass Women: Making Money While Making an Impact

Have you ever had a desire to make a difference; to fill your life with something solid and fulfilling instead of the fluffernutter that seems to be around every corner?

About a year and a half ago I found myself filled with a craving for something, anything that felt solid and meaningful. I felt my life was just flying by and I was watching it out the window with no real purpose. I wandered into the bookstore and asked the lady for a psychology book that wasn’t filled with garbage and she recommended Malcolm Gladwell. That man is a genius and I ate up his every word. But when the book was over, I found myself craving more. Not just another book, but more to my life that filled me with knowledge and purpose. 

Have you ever been there – life is just blah. It’s like one big meh. 

Girl, I feel your pain! There is nothing worse than the craving for life and being met with fluff. It’s like craving a big, juicy burger and being given some romaine (like maybe or maybe not it’s got the E. Coli but either way I’m just not feeling it). Some time went by and I found myself enrolled in college and at a new job. The universe had heard my plea and started to slowly fill my cup up with meaning. 

Then came along the inspiration to start my blog. Honestly, I wasn’t really sure what I wanted to blog about – I knew I wanted an outlet for my thoughts, ideas, and to document my journey. After a bunch of research, I threw myself into WordPress and just started writing. 

After a bit of a hiatus from my blog, which you can read about the reasons why HERE, I decided to get back into blogging but still without direction. Then, along came an opportunity in a bloggers FaceBook group. I’ve always been a bit of a health nut and even read the medical dictionary for fun as a kid, so when I saw the opportunity to join in a group of amazing women who are helping improve lives holistically, I jumped on it. I had been craving friendship with a group of women like me, along with a focus, and the universe wrapped everything up into a gorgeous package with a bow and placed it in my lap. 

Since then, everything has dramatically shifted.

Once I joined this amazing lady gang, I felt a connection like no other. These ladies are supportive, smart, and health conscious. There’s none of the fluffy weirdness that sometimes comes along with holistic health. Instead, you’ll find legitimate guidance put together by professionals, like nutritionists and naturopaths, about everything you could ever imagine; meditation, acne, the law of attraction, weight loss, self-love, meal prep, just to name a few.

The focus of my blog has shifted and I now have a clear direction for my purpose and goals. My goal is to inspire my readers to take action and find their own purpose in life. We all have a reason we were put on this beautiful earth and I hope to help you find it. If you’re anything like me – you might be struggling with figuring out what direction to go. All you have to do is start doing something and soon you’ll find the guidance popping up everywhere!

A great place to start is with coaching because you can bounce ideas around and have someone there to provide ideas you may not even know exist. I’m not a therapist, I’m not going to tell you ‘you’ve got daddy issues’ – I’m going to give you the tools to overhaul your life into something totally awesome.

Another place to start is by learning how to become a coach. Think you have no clue how to coach and you could never help anyone? Think again, girlfriend! Every lovely lady in the world has the ability to help others. The Babes in Business is a group of amazing ladies who have put together a training program for newbie coaches. You’ll learn how to talk to people, how to coach, and how to live a healthier life at the same time! We assist our clients through the HealthStyle Emporium which is a program that teaches meal prep

Mirroring is a fascinating thing – any coach can tell you about times they’ve experienced mirroring. Simply put, the universe will send you clients struggling with the same things you struggle with and you’ll end up helping someone while directly helping yourself! It’s an amazing experience.
