Baked Apple Cinnamon Bars

Filling the kitchen with the smells of cinnamon and apple is a fall-time favorite of mine. I only made it apple picking once this year, however, I keep local apples Even though I didn’t get to pick apples to my heart’s​ content – I still pick up at Whole Foods to keep in the fruit bowl at all times. This delicious recipe tastes amazing as a breakfast bar, toasted or warmed alongside a cup of tea or coffee.

Baked Apple-Cinnamon Bars Recipe

Ingredients:

3c rolled oats
1/3 c brown sugar
1 1/2 t cinnamon
2 t baking powder
1/2 t salt
1 c milk (almond or regular milk)
2 eggs
1/4 c coconut oil, melted
1/3c maple syrup
1 1/3 c apples, diced
1 t cinnamon

The Deets:

Oven: 350
Bake: 30 minutes

Use non-stick of your choice on a square baking dish. Mix the oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, baking powder, and salt together.

Add in the milk, eggs, melted coconut oil, and maple syrup.

Mix the apples and cinnamon together in a separate bowl. Fold the apple mix into the oat batter. Voila!
