Heart Dance: How to Discover what the Soul Loves

Hello beautiful ladies!

Today was rainy and gloomy but I started off my fabulous Saturday at brunch with one of my very best friends. We spent several hours catching up, discussing traveling to Europe and Disney, talking about our latest obsession – Gabby Bernstein’s book “Super Attractor” and savoring delicious food at a French bakery. It was truly a perfect Saturday morning.

I’ve come home and started thinking about my heart dance. Those special moments that fill my soul with life.

Having experienced depression for several years now, I’m intimately familiar with what happens to my precious soul when it’s being blocked from receiving light. Those moments of sleeping so long and so late in the day; when it’s not the body that suffers from lack of sleep, it’s the soul that’s tired and longs to be nourished.

LIGHTING THE FIRE OF THE SOUL

Discovering what our beautiful soul needs to be fed and nourished is a special journey. One that is filled with joy and excitement!

She knows what she needs. Quieting the mind silences the noise and allows her to send you messages and signals pointing you towards what she loves.

>> SILENCING THE MIND

Whenever I begin to feel depressed I remember my number one tool: meditation. Meditation is my go-to because I can stop what I’m doing and take a moment to follow my breath at any time. If I’m at home, I can put on my favorite guided meditation and allow the light to surround me in it’s embrace. There are times I play mantra music to guide my mind into a soft, spiritual place of peace. Silence of the mind creates healing in the soul.

>> EXPRESSING CREATIVITY

My soul loves to be creative! She and I enjoy creating something new and exciting like a brand new ebook filled with my newest techniques to master your mindset or some new illustrations for my blog. At times we like to stay home and cook a delicious meal with new, fresh ingredients or test a new technique that presents an exciting challenge. Her endless creative expressions allow me to fully express myself in my little world.

>> FRESH AIR AND MOVEMENT

Movement makes my body feel light and free. A breeze blowing through the trees at the beach brings me a feeling of joy and brightens my mood. Similarly, I feel alive and bright when I’m twirling around my house to my favorite music or twirling around the dance floor at the local salsa club. Movement brings a feeling of freedom. Healing happens on the mat in the yoga studio where my body finds peace in unique movement and the lightness of a pose. Deeply breathing in the wilderness fills my lungs with the crisp, fresh air and inspiration of nature. Each type of movement bringing a new perspective and a feeling of endless possibility.

>> EBB AND FLOW

Whatever it is that your soul loves to do will come with an ebb and a flow like the waves of the ocean. Reading a book and learning something new then going out and creating an exciting new ebook. A mixture of yin and yang, doing and being, ebbing and flowing. Find peace in the sway of learning to action.

Some women love to paint, dance, sing, cook, hike, swim, bike, read, travel, journal, try new foods, listen to music, create poetry, write a book, take a bath, master an art, learn a new language, gaze at the stars. The soulspiration is endless!
