Dirty & Clean: Health 101
For as long as I could, I focused on positive vibes and did not waste any effort on the fear-based and sensationalized media frenzy around the pandemic occurring right now. However, it’s become really obvious that this is a real threat to some and definitely something that requires at least a portion of our attention.
I’ve now started creating a safe space within BEB to help the community and my fellow BEB women to find solace and high-vibes if they find themselves feeling overwhelmed by these current events.
Of course, the Goddess of Modern Minutes is a high-vibe and safe space for women to find community and learn really amazing tools for combating negative thought processes and fear – this was the perfect time for me to relaunch this course! And of course it was, right? The Universe always points me in the direction I need to go in to benefit the world around me through my business.
GMM is still open for enrollment and since this is a way for me to create a safe, online, and high-vibe experience for women, I’ve decided to keep the price at $555 for the entire enrollment period.
We all need a place to go for all the high-vibes with none of the scary headlines – so I’ve also decided to create a Facebook group for the amazing women in GMM!! This has never happened before and I feel like it’s the perfect time for me to add new and exciting bonuses to the original course. Be surrounded by amazing women who share the same desires as you – to heal ourselves and the world around us? Abso-fucking-lutely, sign me up! If you’d like to learn more and secure your spot: (spots are limited so make sure you snag yours before it’s sold out)
GODDESS OF MODERN MINUTES MASTERCLASS
THE POINT OF MY POST TODAY IS TO FOCUS ON IMMUNE BUILDING AND SMART SHOPPING DURING THIS TIME OF LIMITED STOCK IN GROCERY STORES AND THE VIRUS COMBINED WITH FLU SEASON.
Usually, I focus on tools and mindset – all of which are very beneficial right now! But, today I wanted to put some of my health coach training to good use and discuss practical steps to take. I am usually very selective about the things I purchase, however, when I went to the grocery store I noticed that the shelves were mostly empty and a lot of the stuff ‘left over’ was not what I would normally buy. I’m sure others are facing the same challenge so I wanted to talk about what you can lower your expectations on, and what you should simply not buy.
THE DIRTY DOZEN:
If this is all that is left in the grocery store and there are no organic varieties available, leave it and go without – or buy the frozen organic version.
Strawberries
Spinach/Kale
Nectarines
Apples
Grapes
Peaches
Cherries
Pears
Tomatoes
Celery
Potatoes
Sweet bell peppers
The dirty dozen is a list of highly toxic produce because they are highest in pesticides that can not simply be washed off. Of course, buying them organic means no pesticides have been used so it’s perfectly fine. Or, opt for the clean 15 list instead if you’d like to budget and purchase conventional (non-organic) produce. The clean 15 list is a compilation of the produce with the least amount of pesticides used during its growth cycle.
THE CLEAN 15:
Avocados
Sweet corn (the EWG notes this is likely to be genetically modified)
Pineapples
Sweet peas (frozen)
Onions
Papayas (the EWG notes this is likely to be genetically modified)
Eggplants
Asparagus
Kiwis
Cabbages
Cauliflower
Cantaloupes
Broccoli
Mushrooms
Honeydew melons
The clean fifteen and dirty dozen were created by the EWG. To review their resources or to get more info about it – visit here. (You can also download their printable guide, but it’s boring and lacks any style, just sayin 😉)
Overall, it’s really important to focus on maintaining a healthy and vibrant body. Pesticides put added strain and stress on the immune system causing it to weaken. Especially during this time we need to focus on healing our body of all toxins that weaken our system. As soon as we start intentionally shifting to a healthier lifestyle (with the vibe of love for our body, NOT with a vibe of fear of getting sick) we become more resilient.
Over the next few weeks I’ll be sharing all of my tips for boosting the immune system and creating a healthy environment where you can still thrive during this pandemic.
Grab Your Shopping Guide Here
I've created a little shopping guide you can print out and take with you to the grocery store (or simply save in your phone) to make produce selection easy.
If you are quarantined or if you are feeling a little depressed by this situation – I’ve created a special podcast episode to send you healing and positive vibes. I talk about all things mindset, hope in a bright future, staying safe, maintaining a sense of normalcy, practical steps to ease fear and anxiety, and I answer the question that seems to be on everyone’s mind: why are we hoarding all the toilet paper?!
I am sending you so much light, love, and health as we get through this time together. It’s a little scary for some and I totally understand that. If you need anything – send me a message. I’m always here for my BEB babes. I am spending a lot of time on IG and FB right now, spreading loving vibes and encouragement so if you would like to chat you can send me a DM and follow my stories and posts for some extra doeses of high-vibes on your feed.
Much Love,
Emma XOXO
