Sleeping Beauty: When Sleep is not Your Reset Button

Happy Saturday beautiful ladies!!

Today is GORGEOUS! It’s 60 degrees out, bright sunny amazing weather. Yay 02/20/20 – amazing numerical date, amazing weather, amazing vibes. And yet…I woke up this morning not feeling it today. I had some icky vibes last night that led to icky dreams last night that led me to some low vibes this morning. 

So – full disclosure. My dreams used to always be low vibe, filled with terrible things or weird things that would leave me feeling uneasy. At one point, I wasn’t sleeping at night because my dreams started to become night terrors and the idea of going to sleep and facing these demons, even when I was exhausted, was keeping me awake. 

When I had finally had enough, I opened myself up to receive the tools necessary to change my mindset and heal the subconscious that was causing these negative dreams (NOTE: I’m not a psychologist, everything that I used to heal my dreamworld is what worked for me and felt good to me. Make sure you listen to your body and consult a doctor if you’re unsure about anything).

I noticed that my mind had a darkness to it – that beneath the surface of my consciousness laid a layer of blackness. Like an ocean that was so deep it was impossible to see beneath the surface. I made it my goal to clear the thick clouds that made my internal guidance system impossible to access.

IT STARTED WITH MIRROR WORK

Going to bed each night and waking up in the morning reprogramming the negative beliefs and thoughts that ran free at night. Especially at night – I would look in the mirror and tell myself beautiful, high-vibe, empowering statements that filled my body with buzzing, freeing vibes. Statements that reminded me of my power. My fabulousness. My strength. And the divine protection and guidance I was receiving every single day.

In the infinity of life where I am, all is perfect, whole, and complete.
I am one with the power that created me.
I have within me all the ingredients for success.
I now allow the success formula to flow through me and manifest in my world.
Whatever I am guided to do will be a success.
I learn from every experience.
I go from success to success and from glory to glory.
My pathway is a series of stepping stones to ever greater successes.
All is well in my world.

I recognize my body as a good friend.
Each cell in my body has Divine Intelligence.
I listen to what it tells me, and know that it’s advice is valid.
I am always safe, and Divinely protected and guided.

I support myself, and life supports me.
I see evidence of The Law working all around me and in every area of my life.
I reinforce that which I learn in joyous ways.
My day begins with gratitude and joy.
I look forward with enthusiasm to the adventures of the day, knowing that in my life, “all is good”
I love who I am and all that I do.
I am the living, loving, joyous expression of life.
All is well in my world.

I am totally open and receptive to the abundant flow of prosperity that the Universe offers.
All my needs and desires are met before I even ask.
I am divinely guided and protected, and I make choices that are beneficial for me.

I am constantly increasing my conscious awareness of abundance, and this reflects in a constantly increasing income.
My good comes from everywhere and everyone.
All is well in my world.

HOW TO PRACTICE MIRROR WORK:

Each morning, before you go about your day, look yourself in the eyes and state any affirmations or statements that make you feel amazing. You can use these or any that you’ve created that you really love. Fill these statements with the vibration of truth, feel the possibility within these statements. How would it feel if it was true? How would you feel if every word was true – if you were always safe because the Universe was always behind you, steering you in the right direction and protecting you? How would it feel if your income was always increasing, every single day? How would it feel if every decision you made was leading you toward success? How would it feel if your body was vibrant and healthy? Feel into those feelings and own the statements as you say them. 

Take those statements to bed with you. Keep those vibes flowing through your energy. Fall asleep with those affirmations floating around in your mind. And set intentions for your sleeping state. As you lay in bed – talk to the Universe. Universe, I set the intention to have amazing, joyful, and refreshing dreams while I sleep; I am only available for dreams that leave me feeling amazing when I wake up in the morning. 

It started to work immediately for me. I noticed that slowly the dreams became less intense and weird. I either didn’t remember the dreams or I didn’t remember them so vividly. I began to feel peaceful before bed and when I woke up. Yay! Finally some peaceful ZZZZs!

WHAT ABOUT THOSE 02/22/20 NEGATIVE VIBES?

Right – today, after all this work I’ve been doing, I still had terrible dreams and negative vibes! WTF? The truth is, I had negative dreams because I didn’t check my vibes before I went to sleep. I felt weird, tense, and on edge as I was going to sleep and I didn’t clear that out of the way before I entered my dream state. So, logically, my dream state enhanced those weird vibes by attaching itself to some recent fears I’ve started to have and making them feel real and much more powerful.

When I woke up, I felt like shit. I didn’t have energy, I didn’t have excitement for the day. It sucked. So, I did something that most people tell you not to do…but it makes me feel amazing! I pulled my phone out immediately and I found the people that always carry high-vibes for me to soak up. I watched their IG stories, looked for their recent posts and read them, watched some more IG stories that made me feel amazing. I turned to people I know who always have amazing vibes for me to absorb – Nikki Bella, Amanda Frances, Kimberly Wenya, Kristin Cavallari, Gabby Bernstein to name a few. Then, I journaled things I was grateful for – after I had begun to raise my vibe by being in the uplifting and inspiring vibes of others.

After I had started to clear that negative energy out of my way, I got to work journaling about what fears had been brought up and how I felt restricted. What were my dreams shining a spotlight on? What needed attention and correction? I started listening to some of the amazing videos in a course I recently purchased in the background. And I journaled for pages until I started to receive some clarity around the origins of some of my negative and limiting beliefs. With clarity I was able to see the limitations of my thinking and chose a new thought – a better and empowering thought.

IT ALSO NEVER HURTS TO OPEN YOUR ARMS REALLY WIDE WHILE YOU’RE IN THE SHOWER EVERY MORNING AND SAY: I AM TOTALLY OPEN AND RECEPTIVE TO THE ABUNDANT FLOW OF PROSPERITY THAT THE UNIVERSE OFFERS. THAT’S AMAZINGLY POWERFUL AND SO MUCH FUN. SERIOUSLY, TRY IT.

Sleep is a really important part of our life as powerful women. We absolutely need to safeguard it and transform it into beauty sleep that invigorates us. If you’re struggling with sleep – there a million different reasons why you may be struggling. Check in with yourself and see what comes to you during a meditation or while sitting in silent contemplation.
